Christ Rocks!

Welcome to Christrocks.org.

  • For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to be its judge but to be its savior. (John 3:16-17)
  • Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
  • For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
  • “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
  • Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. (John 14:1-3)
  • My soul rests in God alone, from whom comes my salvation. (Psalm 62:2)
  • Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. (Matthew 7:24-25)

Why does Christ rock?

Because He is the Creator of the Universe and He offers eternal life to everyone. You don’t have to pray 73 times a day. You don’t have to join or attend a church. You don’t have to be good (as if any of us could). You don’t have to memorize 723 lines of verse, nor stick a wooden cross in your front yard. In fact, this may astound you but you don’t even have to put Christian bumper stickers all over your car!

All we have to do is believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our Savior. Then purposely accept His gift of salvation.

Wow! That is why Christ Rocks!

Augustine of Hippo said:

In matters that are obscure and far beyond our vision, even in such as we may find treated in Holy Scripture, different Interpretations are sometimes possible without prejudice to the faith we have received. In such a case, we should not rush in headlong and so firmly take our stand on one side that, if further progress in the search of truth justly undermines this position, we too fall with it. That would be to battle not for the teaching of Holy Scripture but for our own, wishing its teaching to conform to ours, whereas we ought to wish ours to conform to that of Sacred Scripture.

Bible verse of the day

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
John 16:33
